Looking out onto the horizon gives a different perspective than what is directly in front of you. If your eyes are cast down you see only boundaries like this rock wall. It's a barrier that keeps you from reaching those open skies far off in the distance.
Interestingly, just beyond the wall a beautiful sandy beach. The entrance to the glassy waters and cotton candy skies. The immediate thought is to reach the end of the lake and touch the sun peeking through the clouds. How do I get there?
At first, it seems daunting and unattainable. Too far to swim and not accessible by foot. Then I realized that with the correct water transportation and elbow grease I could reach the light in the distance.
In went the kayak, paddle in hand, and a heart of determination. I would finally reach the candy-kissed skies on the mirrored glassy lake. What I once thought was unattainable was now my current location.
We often see barriers in our life that keep us from our horizons. If you have a barrier step over it, find a way to get to where you want to go and add a little elbow grease. I guarantee it will be well worth the effort.
