The day started with the task of weeding and edging in our summer home in Canada. With a few little stones popping through the thick grass (because everything grows prolifically with the rain and sun in Canada) I decided to uncover it. Little did I know that this entire path would be discovered hidden beneath the growth of time.
My life had become very much like this stone path. Covered with the distractions of the "9 to 5" job, self-doubt permeating my psyche, and the belief that I couldn't earn a living being self-employed.
I'm sure that my late mother-in-law had all of the intentions of maintaining the path only to be distracted by the day-to-day duties until finally the stones were covered with only a glimpse of where they led. Life can tend to cover up our paths to our dream destinations in our lives.
It took all day to uncover this path, with lots of hard work, and the menacing Canadian bugs biting every inch of my exposed flesh. Those little but mighty bugs reminded me of negativity that will just eat away at the dream destination.
So, before you put off your dream and the path begins to become overgrown with the weeds of life STOP and clear it away so the path is visible again.
